**I noticed the link was wrong for the neck piece of the lingerie so i fixed the link***
Alright I recently joined an amazing group on deviantART titled Young Fashion ([link]
) and they were having a contest that I really wanted to participate in unfortunately I couldn't because they were no longer accepting entries. However I went ahead and designed something anyways to share, and perhaps the bride to be will like something she sees if she gets to see this. So here it is, I absolutely love Star Wars so this was a complete joy to design, though I did have a little difficulty trying to come up with something to wear under the wedding gown that was pleasing to the eye. And here is the break down of the inspiration for this gown:
Gown Cut Specifically the Bottom and Sleeves-[link]
Corset Feature of Gown and Arm ribbons-[link]
Upper section of removable sleeves-[link]
Neck piece/top of lingerie-[link]
Design on front of gown and back sleeves of gown-[link]
Top Center section of dress/top center of lingerie:[link]
Lingerie Color Scheme-[link]
Center Section of Lingerie Design:[link]
Detachable Bridal Veil (seen attached to back of lingerie)-[link]
All right now for the rest of the break down on the set:
Bridal Gown: This gown consists of four layers so to say the first being the bridal lingerie which will be detailed later. The only viewable sections of this will be the necklace section and the center piece of the lingerie along with the top section of the sleeves. The second layer would be the bottom skirt. The next section, which I consider including in the lingerie section, is an overcoat style section of the dress which should also be made of a rather light material. Lastly we have the corset, which should be in an informal corset rather than the real thing. The sleeves will be detachable and will be held in place with the help of the silver upper section also seen in the bridal lingerie section. The details in the picture such as the trip are silver (I know its difficult to see with my unfortunate scan, my scanner is broken so I had to use a crappy one). The ribbons are of course optional on the arms.
Bridal Lingerie: This outfit I absolutely adore, I love teddy style lingerie so i chose this for my design. The outfit is all one piece with the exception of the veil which I will get to in a moment. The center section is made in a belt fashion because I noticed a lot of Padme's combat outfits include belts, to enhance this feature the center sections are to be mesh (plus this adds a little more sex appeal to the outfit as well). The accents are again done in silver, sort of hard to tell cause of my crappy scanner. The shoes I wanted to keep simple and I wanted them to be able to be worn for the gown as well since the lingerie is designed to be worn under the gown as well. As for the veil, it does not need to be worn as a veil but I wanted to include the option, instead of showing it as a veil I attached it to the teddy (it's designed to be detachable) because I love the idea of incorporating the veil into the bridal lingerie as well.
Ok I think that's everything if not I shall update this later, enjoy! and constructive feedback is welcome but if you are rude you will be ignored. Thanks!
So many thanks to the wonderful Gwynndolyn ([link]
) who suggested I be added to the contest and to MarinusLamia([link]
) for allowing me to be added to the contest. Yay now I get to participate, I'm super excited about this I've always loved to draw clothing but I've never acted on my love of drawing clothes so this will be my first contest. Thanks again everyone!
